Vendors need to be aware that real estate agents are now covered under the Anti-Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 as of 1 January 2019.
We are required to collect documents and identify our clients before we sign the agency agreement and carry out real estate agency work, so in future you will be asked for far more personal information than in the past.
We don’t keep this information on our records – it is all forwarded direct to a government agency.
